Black Rock Lodge is nestled in the Maya mountains along the banks of the Macal River, surrounded by 13,000 acres of protected land. Its 242-acre location features over 1100 feet of elevation change from the Macal River to various mountain peaks and canyon ridges. What are just a few of the delights waiting for you?
Birding: The location is the perfect environment for nearly 390 species of spectacular resident and migratory birds, which makes it the #1 Belize Birding spot for the last five years according to Ebird, from the CornellLab of Ornithology!
Hiking:They have miles of hiking trails that start at our lodge and lead to some of the area’s most spectacular sites like, Flour Camp Cave, KeyHole Cave, and the Mountain Summit with Vista Loop and Vaca Falls
Swimming: Pool, Rope swing into river or lounge on floating dock
Spring Water + Organic Farm: Blessed with unlimited drinking supply of the purest, spring-fed water and an organic farm, you will be taking in clean air, pristine water and local food ingredients.

5 nights at a self-sustained eco-resort on the Macal River
Fresh farm-to-table meals from the on-site organic farm (3 meals daily + coffee/tea)

The Lodge’s villas provide stunning views of Black Rock Canyon, the Macal River, and the surrounding rainforest. Each beautifully designed patio has an inviting hammock to relax into the surroundings. All of the cabins are built to take advantage of the fresh mountain breezes and have fully screened windows and ceiling fans. (Two have AC.) All villas have en-suite bathrooms and closet areas. Local artisans provided the artwork in the cabins, bringing you deeper into the local culture.

For the most affordable stay, select the Classic Villa. This original, rustic Black Rock villa includes natural slate stone walls and thoughtful upgrades. You'll enjoy fantastic birds-eye views of the Canyon Cliffs, and they include a private bath, exterior patio with hammocks, and a King bed. The Classic name says it all, original design and decor with charming touches for guests.

Riverview Villas

Cozy and intimate, these villas offer the same spacious design as Deluxe villas with tall windows and high-pitched rooflines. They are smaller but still provide privacy with an en-suite bathroom and native decor featuring local artwork. Enjoy stunning views of the Canyon and Macal River from the patio with hammocks. Come with a queen and a double bed.

Spacious, comfortable villas with fresh mountain breezes and panoramic views of the Macal River and Canyon. Features include exterior patios with hammocks, a charming cabin interior with native decorations, hardwood writing desk & chair, and mahogany woodwork in the bathrooms. These villas have two Queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Quiet location away from the lodge's central guest areas.
